David Bailey has served as pastor of Central Presbyterian Church since May of 1998. He was ordained a minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 1982 by the Presbytery of Western North Carolina. In addition to Central, he has pastored the West Avenue Presbyterian Church in Gastonia, NC, and the First Presbyterian Church of Dunn, NC.

Born in Kingstree, SC, David was raised primarily in Huntsville, Alabama, where he graduated from Huntsville High School in 1973. He graduated from Davidson College in 1977 and Columbia Theological Seminary inDecatur, GA, in 1982.

David and his wife, Claire, have been married almost 30 years and have three children: Erin (22), Allison (20) and John (18).
